Tankless Water Heaters

Tankless water heaters, also known as on-demand water heaters, are innovative appliances designed to provide hot water instantaneously without the need for a storage tank. Unlike traditional water heaters, which store and heat water continuously, tankless models heat water only when it’s needed, directly flowing it through heating elements or coils. This results in energy efficiency, as there’s no standby heat loss from a tank. Tankless water heaters are compact, space-saving, and can supply a continuous flow of hot water, making them popular for households seeking energy savings and uninterrupted hot water supply.

Boilers

Boilers are heating appliances that use water or other fluids to generate heat. They operate by burning fuel such as gas, oil, or biomass, or through electric heating elements. The heat produced by the boiler is transferred to the water, creating steam or hot water that can be circulated through pipes to heat a building, provide hot water for domestic use, or power various industrial processes. Boilers are essential in central heating systems and are available in various types, including conventional boilers with storage tanks and combi boilers that heat water on demand. They are known for their efficiency, reliability, and versatility in providing heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Packaged Units

Packaged units are comprehensive HVAC systems that combine multiple heating, cooling, and sometimes ventilation components into a single, self-contained unit. These units are designed for efficient and convenient installation, often placed outdoors or in mechanical rooms, requiring minimal space indoors. Packaged units typically include components such as air conditioning or heat pump condensers, evaporator coils, compressors, and sometimes furnaces or heating elements. They are available in various configurations to suit different climate needs, building sizes, and energy efficiency requirements. Packaged units are commonly used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings, offering simplicity, reliability, and ease of maintenance.

Split Systems

Split systems are a common type of HVAC setup consisting of two main components: an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. The outdoor unit houses the compressor and condenser coil, while the indoor unit contains the evaporator coil and blower. These units are connected by refrigerant lines and electrical wiring, allowing them to work together to provide heating, cooling, or both to a space. Split systems are versatile and can be configured for various applications, from single-zone setups for individual rooms to multi-zone systems for larger buildings. They offer energy efficiency, quiet operation, and flexibility in installation, making them popular choices for residential and commercial HVAC needs.

What you can expect after hiring us

We are a small family owned business and we take great pride in our close relationships with our customers. Often times there is a stigma associated with plumbers as being very expensive. Here at Northern Mechanical we strive to stay as competitive as possible with the larger local companies. A typical service call will usually cost $100 to drive to your property and asses the work that needs done, however we do offer free estimates and often do not charge this fee. In depth diagnosis is $100. We’ve found over the years that charging each job on a flat rate basis works out best for the customer and our business. If an hourly rate must be assigned based on the job, you can expect $170 per hour plus materials used. We only charge by the hour for specific hard to estimate jobs. Generally flat rate priced jobs, when broken down, end up being much less than this per hour.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept all payment methods including but not limited to, cash, check, credit card, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cashapp, and crypto. Credit and debit card transactions will incur an additional 3.5% fee which is paid directly to the processing company.
